About me

I have been translating fiction, non-fiction, journalism, exhibitions and a wide range of other texts from Swedish to English and from English to Swedish since 1996. After having spent most of my childhood with my nose in a book and going back and forth to the UK since the age of fourteen (that is to say since 1974), I went on to read languages and philosophy at the University of Stockholm and raising a family together with my English husband.  I have a diploma in feature writing from the London School of Journalism and I have attended the copy-editing and proof-reading course at Charterhouse, Exeter.

Travel Writing

My special interest is travel and travel writing. In the early 2000s I published a number of essays on travel writing in Swedish newspapers and literary magazines, and I have written prefaces to some of my translations.

Publishers I have worked with over the years include

  • HarperCollins
  • Taschen
  • Norstedts
  • Max Ström
  • Dokument Press
  • Votum
  • Natur & Kultur

Corporate clients and institutions I work with on a regular basis include Gothenburg Book Fair, regional museums, municipalities and county administrative boards throughout Sweden.

I am currently reading for a BA in Arts and Humanities (Creative Writing) at the Open University.
